just got the beast out today and he wants to idol at 1300 rpms this is high right? |

If it's hit outside and the bike's warmed up, I idle mine about 850-900. Otherwise 1050-1100. I love my idle adjustment knob. It's on a 1" long or so cable that hangs just under the bodywork for swift adjustments. |

+1 the remote idle knob is a must for a carbed bike IMO. |

just a heads up this is my first tank of gas half from last year other new gas. will this efect my idol? |

If anything old gas will make it idle slow. +1000 on the idle screw / cable. OEM spec is for a 95 S2, but I installed one on my 98 S1W as well, it replaces the screwdriver idle screw with a cable and knob that you can reach anytime. IIRC recommended idle is 1050 for oil pressure; any lower will reduce idle oiling and can cause problems. |

Joe, Do you have a P/N for the cable? you can get it from Al at American Sport Bike. I have it on all my tubers. I think it cam stock on the S1s but not on the S2s. |

Yeah, it's not on my S2 and what a pita to adjust the idle after it's all put together. I'll go see American Sport Bike. :-) Thanks! |
