Hell, it better add 15hp for that price, come with a tech to adjust it for every ride, and blowjobs from some hot chic. Even the XB versions are almost half of the price! http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-TechnoFlex-M3-Shocks-fo r-03-09-Buell_W0QQitemZ150341175689QQcmdZViewItemQ QptZMotorcycles_Parts_Accessories?hash=item1503411 75689&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3 A10%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A2%7C29 4%3A50 Both are the "M3" version |

Maybe the seller was on the krak pipe when they listed it. We should see them for sale soon on a going out of business sale from being so stupid as to price their item outside of what anyone would be willing to pay. |

I'm going to inquire and ask them why it's so high and ask them to justify their extreme price and lack of background on a Buell against the price of the tried and true Penske. |

hmmm, their pricing does not make much sense here either: http://www.technoflex-usa.com/custom_shocks/shocks _for_Buell.html I think I would take the S3 shock and put it on the M2. No? |

For $1900 they can't show a picture of the actual shock? LOL. |

My problem is that it isn't tried and true and never heard anyone ever running one. I'm with Cornel though, but I would get the Penske if I was going to drop that kind of money. You guys realize HyperPro still lists their shock on their site...That was expensive too! |

Those sure as hell wouldn't be free BJ's for 1900 bucks. Maybe it's like Austin Powers' penis pump and it doubles as a shock for your Buell! |

So I messaged him, and this is his reply...Nice guy, but in some regards, he makes no DAMN sense: Thanks for writing. On some Buells we are not competitive. Part of the problems is the Euro/USD ratio. If it were 1-1 the shock would be in the $1200 range. I just put up pretty much all of the shocks we offer, almost 2300 or so different models. The early Buell units are the only ones where we are of range vs. someone like Penske. So it was mostly to get feedback like yours as to the overall market. I got some emails from guys who are ecstatic that we make a shock for their obscure bike. On the later Buells we are right in the mix price-wise and based on the feedback I have gotten from riders who bought our shocks for their bikes I think we can hold out own with Penske. I've been wanting a Buell for a number of years now after riding a friends and maybe I'll look closer for one if they are down below $2K now. Thanks, let me know if I can help you in any way. M./ |

This is his response to my question. My question: Dear nortomo, Do you have a picture of the X1 shock? Is it a compression or pull shock? What is the eye to eye measurement? Buell used 2 different versions of the rear shock both with different lengths. Thanks Tom His reply: Hi Tom, I'll check with the factory to see if they have any photos and what configuration it is (push or pull). Thanks for your interest. M./ I tell you this guy seems shady. If I'm going to pay that kind of money I sure as hell expect some customer service! American Sport Bike will always get my money for high dollar items. |

Well they sent me a return email. Looks like it's more than just a shock. But a shock and linkages to convert our pull shock system to a compression shock setup. I can't even make heads or tail of the linkages in the the picture they sent. Anyone know if this is even adaptable on a tuber? -------------------------------------------------- email: > Dear nortomo, > > Do you have a picture of the X1 shock? I contacted the factory and here is the info you requested: - shock length is 325 mm (12.8 inches) - design is push (compression) - we can make the shock a bit longer or shorter than stock if desired - we can add a ride height adjuster to the shock - we can build the shock as either an emulsion design DeCarbon design with remote reservoir the auction you clicked on to send the message to me is for the M3 Decarbon shock with remote reservoir. I have a photo below of our emulsion shock in a Buell linkage system Please ask any more questions you might have. I can forward you a link to see our online configuration form so you can see the data we take to build and configure your shock if you would like. Ok I found this pic at http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/ They sell this kit to adapt a tuber from a pull shock to a compression shock. The linkages look the same so I am thinking that this is a conversion kit with shock. At least thats what I get from the last email they sent me.
Looks kind of complicated and not so sturdy. Makes me wonder how long it would last. |
