ok, i picked up a nice chin fairing and want to put it on my s1. my mechanical skill are oil changes, and sparked plugs. if i order the mounting kit thru al at asb, put the bike up on the rear stand, is it as simple as removing the old screws that are on both sides, and simply installing the kit screws? does torque matter? the bracket that hooks up to the shock, is there any cmplications? basically is this a simple 30 minute at home job, or bring it in? thanks dan |

Simple hand tools should be all that's required. I just installed one on my S3T last week and it took about 3 hours because I had to make all the spacers/bushings/brackets and drive to town to get the longer bolts required. |

It takes me about 5-10 min to remove or install the one on my X1. Al's hardware kit will have everything you need. I would give him a call if you have problems with the install. |

the other thing to keep in mind, is that some mufflers interfere with the chin fairing, and the fairing may need to be trimmed slightly. |
