I ripped it apart and did the right thing (at least I thought I did) Replaced the gear and installed the 07 oil pump. I was talking to a young hot rodder and he said that the bronze gear won't last 10,000 mile! I told him that Buell was running this set up in their production 07 bike and nothing was said about servicing this gear. Do you guys have any info??? |

Toyota,Nissan,Honda, etc all use Bronze oil pump drive gears. Had the oil pan off the wife's '94 Nissan to fix an leak a few months ago,mileage 240,000...the bronze drive gear looked new. |

Thanks for the piece of mind! I'm 40 years old and when I was building my hotrods roller billet cams were WAY OUT of my price range. So I did not have much experience with them as far as longevity |
