Ok, that was posted from my phone.

So, I'm wondering if these will be a straight swap out on this motor.

I have a feeling they won't, but I have a line on some.

too much lift, you will need to modify the springs to get them to handle that much lift.

they have a lift of .551", the lighting cams have .497" lift... I'm unsure what you have but if it doesn't have anything more than the usual intake and exhaust... you will need springs, maybe clearance... not 100% though.

Cyclones drive off rear intake cam, XB is different and pitch of teeth is different IIRC
Sorry, only have my S-2 manual at home, but we were talking about just the opposite scenario yesterday.

xb cams will bolt right in....just not the right way! The XB spins the cams'backward' vs. a tuber and/or sportster. The intake timing gear is swapped on an XB. The cams will physically bolt in but the timing marks will be out to lunch. You might be able to degree them in....never tried so i don't know for sure.

The screaming eagle 0.550 lift high output cam is essentially an XB cam with the correct timing marks for sportster rotation. They will bolt right in as long as you have the right pinion.

Just my 0.02,but i prefer the X1 cam or .536 lift screaming eagle grind over the xb lobe in a tuber streetbike. The XBcams have a hit at 4000 that is noticeable on the heavier tubers/sportsters. The X1 and 536 lift cams make good torque from 2000 up and make for a nicer street ride.

oh ya, forgot about how they work... you say 'XB' cam and my mind jumps to SE 'E' grind cam. (which are the same specs just made for different bikes)

I agree with Hurricane though, the X1 and SE536 cams seem to do better... or atleast ive heard better things about them. : D

Wilson - buy me a set of SE .536 and I'll send you some X1 cams.
