Just wanted to post up my continueing story of taking my tuber to the track. Today was opening race day at Virginia Motorsports Park for the E.T. bracket classes. I brought my 2000 S3T Thunderbolt out to the track and mopped up the competition with the old girl. Got lucky a few times, hit my number a few times and had an all around great time. And because it was a large sanctioned event, I WON A WALLY!!! Just wanted to share my good news with a few fellow tubers. Heres a couple pictures.

I went to the track today as well but only as a spectator. Unfortunately no American bikes showed for the 2-wheeled races, and a honda civic won the 4-wheeled portion with an impressive 8.14 pass. Way to represent the American V-twin! What engine work has been done? |

Thanks guys! I was not the only American bike which was cool. That girl in the pic made it all the way to the semi's with me and it was almost a rice free final. My bike is all stock but for the exhaust, intake, programing and the shock. It was pretty cool to win since I got wacked in the first round two weeks ago due to a stupid mental error on my part at the Virginia Bike Fest! I'm ready for the next race. |

Way to represent! Glad to see someone with brains to go with a big set of balls. With all the talk about going fast on the street that has been going on here. It's good to see that you are doing it the right way. I learned the hard way and now have 6 stainless pins in my leg for the rest of my life. Keep up the good work! |

It doesn't hurt that you have a Black 2000 S3. As everyone knows, they are the fastest color and model year. My sons race an old Neon with a SRT4 motor and they love beating the ricers too. Keep up the good work ! |

It was bracket racing. I dialed in @ 12.60 I was running 12.6X's at will, and slower when I had enough of a lead. The bike will run a little better than 12.6 and I like just a smidge of cushion. Reaction times varied. .05's were my best. Two rounds were given to me as a gift when the other lane saw I was on a Buell and got so frightened they redlighted! |
