If you do a search you will yield many options on repairing your force unit they are known to fall apart, I am so glad I didnt buy the force I have a d&d and so far so good. |

I've had similar issues in the past with mine. I'm now isn't a stock header and Carbon Fiber V&H. I love the performance and sound of the Force though, so when I get the money I'm going to get a Race header and order a stainless megs megaphone to fit on it for a similar, but 2-piece and stainless, result. |

has anyone tried cutting the header at a known weak point, welding on a collector and some hooks, then attaching the two parts with springs? The new force pipes are designed that way and I assume that the new joint would absorb a lot of abuse without breaking. |

Brinnutz I would like to give Matthew the first shot at it since he is having trouble, but if he has no interest it was for a late model tuber style exhaust.. |

If brinnutz would like it he can have it, my problems just got worse. Re-welded the exhaust put it back on and found out that the sound i thought was coming from the exhaust rattle is coming from inside the primary somewhere near the rear. So once i figure out what that problem is im going to save and throw on the full D&D system. The weld usually holds for about a year so i got sometime, espeacially when i cant ride it. ;( |

Thanks Edoardo, The front mount on mine looks fine, its the pipe that cracked in front of it, damn cheap thin gauge metal. |

I thought your problem was on the Bracket... I had problem on the bracket, so far (sgrat sgrat!!), never on the pipe. here's the pic of the bracket reinforced, by the way...

BUELLers: The reason the exhaust clamps, brackets, and exhaust header studs break is in the assembly of the exhaust system they become stress points and break ... The exhaust system has to be assembled on the bike so no stress points are created ... When "i" assemble my exhaust system on my bike it starts at the exhaust header/heads all the way back to the end of the exhaust system finger tight ... Then "i" TORQUE the exhaust header/head evenly to 6 ft. lbs. "MAX"(2 - 4 - 6) and then to the end of the with proper torque ... MAY THE LONG LASTING BUELL BE WITH YOU !!! |
