The light on my 99 S3 is rattling like mad. The nuts that are on the end of the adjusting bolts are loose in the metal plate they press into. This looks like a basic auto part. There is no part listed for this in the parts book. I have attached the page with the part in question circled

Any ideas?

Are you sure that they are secured properly? When I replaced a light bulb recently it took a couple of tries to seat the nuts so they were secure.

If you can not seat them, I would replace them. I don't know if you can get these anywhere but a dealer.

They are seated as securely as they can be. The dealer does not stock these separately. They look like an autopart. I did not want to take this apart then go searching, so thought someone knew a partnumber or something.

Should be available from local auto parts store. There are a few different ones, so take an old one and match it up.

This is the OEM of the lamp.

Contact them.

If you can't find new ones, try anchoring the nuts with RTV.
A nice big glob and a day or two to cure and you're good as new.

I bought several of these clips right from my dealer. They come in a little buell parts plastic bag. Maybe a dollar per clip?
