Wake up all! Winter is almost over and it's time for everybody to come out of hibernation! I just got my bike back, I had it in getting some motor work done to it. I took it for a ride and holy crap it moves!!!!!!!!! Did all I can without cracking the cases. Put it on the dyno and it came up 88 horse and 80 foot pounds of tork. Not bad but still not enough, it will work for this summer though. I tried to post a pic and it keeps telling me that the picture is to big? |

So what all did you get done, IIRC, you can go 88" without actually cracking the cases. Did you go that big? |

call Terry [buell_dyno_guy] about what more can be done with yer motor he built my 90" [modded cases] which puts out 100+ & 100+ with CV40 & V&H |

I put in Andrews n4 cams, crane cams single fire ignition system, high flow air cleaner, d&d stainless race header and a modified d&d muffler. I also converted the rocker boxes to xb rocker boxes so I don't have the crank case breather on the side anymore! The motor only has 8300 miles on it thats why I really didn't want to crack the cases. I bought the bike last fall with 3200 miles on! Next winter will bring bigger and better! |

You could pop the heads for a port & polish and bump the compression up. |

if I take off the heads I'm ganna do alot more then just machine the heads! That is one of the reasons I left them on, I know how I am!! |

My setup is about the same as yours, but I DID work on the heads myself. I had 0.020" taken from the heads, and I'm running an 0.020" head gasket. I also polished the backs of the valves, and radiused the back cuts. I "cleaned up" the ports by hand, didn't really remove much material but tried to make them look like they were intended to be (removing machining marks, casting marks, etc). I had new shorter pushrods cut to match, I didn't trust adjustables. Mine dyno's 94. There are others on the board, Blake being a good example, who have the next-stage cam (the SE 536's) and Stage 2 headwork, who are putting down 105-110. 88 should still be a fun number though! |

I had the page book marked in the drag book for the nos and my girlfriend said no way cause she knows I will use it! All the guys I ride with I still have the fastest bike so I am ok for now!! |
