I had to move my gauges due to the custom tree and fairing that I installed. This ended up causing a sharp bend up near the speedo and the cable inside snapped. I figure that a 6" longer cable should allow me to re-route it so that it does not have that stress on it. Does anyone know if a longer cable from another bike will work or do I need to have one fabricated? |

You should be able to go to any good bike shop with your cable, measure it, and order another one in a +6" length (or whatever the final length needs to be). That's probably more accurate than "I need one from a Bike X" and having it be "close". |

The drive at both ends is the same as any Harley. So maybe a Sportster's? |

I got a Sporty cable that is a little longer. I took the old one into the dealership so I could find one with the right connector to the speedo. |

I brought the old one with me to a local custom shop and he had a Drag Specialties part that fit properly. Thanks for the help. |
