alright I've got a question, I've got a 2000 buell cyclone that that acts like it's run out of gas. I'll flip it to reserve and it will run fine. The only wrinkle here is that its not out of gas in the primary tank. Ive checked the vent line, tore apart the petcock and cleaned it all up. and cleaned the filter.(none of the above seemed to be the problem.) and none of the above solved the problem. any help much appreciated |

remove the filter. i had the same symptoms on my S1W that i added a filter to. i removed the filter and it runs fine, need to find a higher flow gravity filter. i'll bet that is it. just put a brass barb/barb in its place. |

I had the same problem and took the filter out of the tank , took it apart and found that the regular fill tube(not the short one that is the reserve) was actually sucking on the filter housing. I trimmed it back and have never had a problem since. Beware if you do this your distance on reserve will be shorter . |

alright, that idea of cutting the inner tube on the filter is what I was going to do. BUt I'm wondering if I switch over tyo reserve alittle sooner. no big deal? |

No, you'll switch later, with a little less distance on reserve than before. The level will be lower when you switch... Zack |
