I have a 97 M2 and there is no tach, Just the speedo. Later models have a speedo and tach. Is the wiring in place already on my 97 or will I have to wire up the tack if I add one. I am also wondering about a wider seat for my, shall we say wider seat. The present 2x4 is OK for moving it around in the garage but gets a little numbing after that. Will I have to change the seat and fender or will the wider seat just slip over the narrow fender I already have.

you need the bigger rear plastic for the wider seat. I wouldnt hesitate to go to it, i did and am very happy with it. Also, the manta tank is required for it to look right.

I put a s1 tach housing on my m2, and it worked out ok. All the wiring is there in the main harness so if you have the right clips its plug and play. The later m2 tach upgrades will not work on your 97, ive tried.

5 gallons, well lets see, at 50 mpg that would give me a 250 mile range or about 3 straight hours in the saddle, I sure hope that bigger seat is up to the task. Right now 30 minutes is my range.
