Well it looks as though I might not be able to get the Vance & Hines exhaust for my 98 S3. Unless it is still around in about 4-6 months. Oh well... Life goes on. Can anyone suggest another manufacturer that makes a slip on exhaust that will fit my S3 that has a sound similar to the V&H? I like the low n deep sound and not so much a loud exhaust. Anyone have any suggestions? |

If you're interested, I have a stainless steel V&H muffler and the pipe that I took off my 2000 S3, simply 'cause I found a carbon fiber V&H muffler and pipe to replace it. It's in great shape, has low mileage, is packed in the V&H box, and if you make me a reasonable offer, it's yours. DW |

Thank you very kindly for the offer Dragonwing. I did find the slip on at americansportbike problem is that Al says he only has 1 left and it is discontinued by V&H so once that one is gone thats it. Where trouble comes into paradise for me is that my wife and I have a lot of other financial things tieing our funds up at this time so I cant fork out the $300 for it. I'm just wondering who else makes a slip on that fits the 98 S3 for future reference. Seems to be a tough year to buy aftermarket exhaust for . I'm sure I wouldn't be able to afford the pipes your selling anyways. *sigh* I need a money tree! LOL |

It's doing me no good whatsoever in the garage, and if you're sure you can use it, I'll sell it to you (and to you only) for $125 and actual shipping costs. Let me know. DW |

WOW!!! That is really cool of you DW! One question? Will this offer still be good a few months from now? I just talked to my wife (who's a Buell nut like me ) and we just really don't even have that right now. She says in a few months we can afford it though. |

I'll hold it for you to end of May. When you're ready, just send me a line at bburland@hotmail.com. If I don't hear from you by then, I'll assume that you changed your mind. Agreed? DW (Need to keep the ladies happy...for a number of reasons, eh?) |

I think buying it now for that price would be the best and RIGHT thing to do. That being said, the best advice on marrige I ever got was "once you are married you can be right, or you can be happy. But you CAN'T be both" HAHAHA! Thanks a lot DW! That sounds very fair to me. I will let you know as soon as I can do it. |

"That's very decent of you, Dragonwing." Indeed. I have said it before and I'll say it again, the folks on this site truly make Buell ownership such a pleasure. Makes you feel like being part of a big family. |

The people that I have met through Bad Web are reminiscent of what the word "Brotherhood" meant when I starting riding in the 70's. Other than here, it seems to have lost a lot of that meaning. Pete, congratulations on having a Buell wife. Mine considers my S1, the Mistress that sleeps in the garage |
