Sorry if this question sounds very primitive but are there any external clues to tell me whether or not I have the XB rocker covers on my X1? It looks like the previous owner has done a number of upgrades to the bike including the metal rocker cover gaskets, external catch can, etc, etc., so I am now wondering if he upgraded the rocker covers as well. There is a breather fitting on each cover (behind the air box) connected to a hose going into the back of the air box housing and then down to an external American Sport Bike catch can. I don't see any PVC valves but I can't quite see the top of the cover to be sure. Thanks. |

old style rocker covers are three piece affairs. (rocker box, mid spacer, shallow cover) Xb rocker covers are a two piece affair and vented out the top of them. (rocker box, deep cover) |

Most likely standard, as Loki describes the old style are 3 pieces this can clearly be seen, the XB rocker box mods have vent valves in the TOP of the boxes, the head breathers are not needed, you can put 1/2" bolts in the holes to hold the carb or tb inplace. |
