Holy hell does this thing rock!!! I know it's not Old School Buell,(i still own a 98 S1W) but i just felt i had to share. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=211213&l=aab 11&id=542860187 This bike is worth every penny. It looks amazing, sounds amazing, and the ride is like unother any bike i have ever ridden. It pulls like a freight train, and you just think where the bike should go, and it goes there. I have finally realised what is so special about a Ducati. I've been lusting after a Ducati ever since i rode a freinds 998 some 9 years ago, and this is 10 times better. The traction control is a super cool feature, and i have tried it out, and i can't wait to push it on the track. Spring could not come any sooner! |

Oh yea...i rode it all day today. We had a break in the weather in NJ today. It was almost 55 degrees. I've been keeping it under 6k rpm, but i opened it up twice, and not even all the way. The bike wheelied through three gears. I can't wait to learn this bike. I had a RC51, and i thought that bike rocked. The Ducati is in another class alltogether. Just amazing. I suggest everyone get a chance to ride one. Ducati does offer Demo rides. |

MikeyP . . . too cool and I'll bet your are going to love it! I get over to Cross Country from time to time and they seem to do a lot of Ducati demo rides. Let me know when you are in shape and ready for your first riding lesson of the year. Congratulations! |

I know what you're talking about, since I own a 1098 S all set up. that's THE bike, a race machine! Ducati is the Ferrari on 2 wheels, and now you know it also... enjoy your bike and let me know what you think about the DTC. |

Rich, if i already didn't own a Buell, i'd buy a Hypermotard S. I test rode one (by myself)and i loved it. It's a real Wheelie machine. Ducxl, yes, varity is the spice of life my friend! What kind of Ducati do you ride? Court, no worries if i'm in shape to ride. I took Monday off to enjoy the weather, and my new ride, and i didn't want to get off the bike. Just so you know, i have an open invite to test ride any bike i want at any time over at Cross Country. Let me know when you want to go. I can set it up. Italian Job, So far, i bumped into the DTC once. I had it set on it's highest setting (8), and it was 25 degrees out on Saturday. I rode the bike for 20 minutes. From a dead stop, i wound her out in first gear, and the DTC stepped in and took care of the rest. No wheel spin whatsoever, just a slight "bog" is the only way i can describe it. Again, that was on it's highest setting. I read a review that states in the middle position (4) that the DTC is seamless. I can't wait to play with it on the track. BTW...are you on any 1098\1198 forums? |

The Hypermotard is one sexy looking bike ala the original S-1! I can't wait to see your 1198 . . . I know, from prior experience, that you are capable of operating it . . . I'm not worthy, but would love to watch! |

Is THIS YOUR bike? You'll need plenty of money to replace the black plastics with Carbon Fiber Nice Ohlins suspension.I wish Buells' had that option |

Court, where are you working these days? As soon as it's nice out, i might have to visit you for lunch. And Duc...your bike is sweet man! Love the Wheels. And yes, that is my bike. I already dropped $3500 in extras on it. I have a full Termi Exhaust with race ECM on it's way from Italy. I did the open clutch cover and pressure plate. I relocated the turnsignals into the tailsection, along with a Competition Werks license plate relocatar. As far as carbon goes, im not a real big fan of the stuff. It's the Italian version of chrome on Harleys. Not my thing. |

here is my bike Mike... here it was about a year ago, now I also have Gilles short levers, Rizoma clutch cover and Ducati Corse mirrors, much better shape than the stock ones and they won't move! my bike has full HPE exhaust, race filter, a special race ECU that cuts my engine now at 11.500rpm, not anymore at 10.000 (it's sick!), slipper clutch, R's wheels.... it's well set up, I was thinking to swap it for the 1198S, but my mechanics at Ducati Miami told me that my bike is too well put to do a change, the 1198 has 4 RHP more than the 1098 (stock to stock), mine has a lot of power, lots of torque and those 1500 rpm more that I couldn't have with a Termi race ECU, so they told me to stay how I am. better like that, I saved some money! lol no, I'm not in any of the 1098 forum, do you know any good one? Ducxl, your 996 is sick! those rotors worth the whole look of the bike... expensive? |

>>>>Court, where are you working these days? As soon as it's nice out, i might have to visit you for lunch. Wherever you need me to be . . . . I've got projects going from Goethals Substation near the Outerbridge to a cap bank at Indian Point (Buchanan, by the way, has great riding and the best chili in a 278 mile radius) and, just this week, I got assigned to AEII which will be another $1B 500MW next to the last one we built . . . and I'm spending two days a week and Columbia. . . . Soon as it gets warm . . . . let's take a day and play . . . I miss you!

I thank Buell for protecting me from that HyperMotard... The fact that my 9sx is so nice is probably the only reason I don't have one in my garage, and the Duc would be a lot more expensive to maintain... |

Italian, Nice job on your bike. Looks great! The only reason i went with the Full Termi System was because it would be covered under warrenty. Looks like your pipes are loud! Here's a good ducati Site. http://www.ducati-superbikes.com/forum/ Hit me up over there. My screename is Buellie. Court, I heard it's supposed to hit 55 degress on Sunday. If the roads aren't too bad, maybe i'll swing out to Casa Del Court. I'll buzz you on your cell. Capital_g , that's a slick looking bike. Lean and mean. I also like the Hypermotard that Roland Sands built.
Thanks Kalali. BTW....Right after the pic of me in the pedal car was taken, i started playing with the Tonka Truck. I embarressed Court when i when i made mock air horn nosies with my mouth. |

>>>I embarressed Court when i when i made mock air horn nosies with my mouth. Your kidding me? . . I thought you were describing that gal . . never mind. That Ducati should only be operated by a responsible adult! Give me a shout . . . Vick's off to AC all day/night Saturday so if the weather is anywhere near decent I may be out . . I'll be around all day Sunday . . . when you don't come around, the neighbors wonder if anyone still lives in the house! |
