but how do the 90 degree crankcase breather bolts come out? I attempted once before, but now need to get them out. Is there a secret? thanks in advance |

Yes. There is a secret. Use a heat gun (or good hair dryer on HIGH)and heat the area surrounding the breather bolt (but not the bolt) until it is really hot....to the touch.....and then spray a good penetrating oil such as AeroKroil around the threads. If it is truly hot enough, the Kroil will immediately boil and be sucked into the threads (not running off the head). Continue to heat and apply Kroil until it starts smoking like a chimney fire (or the Kroil actually catches fire...as it sometimes will...) then try to back the bolt out counterclockwise. This method should remove even the most stubborn frozen bolt, but if one does snap, don't freak....you can still get it out with an E-Z-Out (the breather bolts are hollow). |

One of them has a locknut you should loosen first. |

next after you get it apart convert over to the xb system which breathes out of the top of the rocker box. It looks cleaner, breathes better and can be done for under a 125 bucks! Thanks from some help for some fellow bad webbers they got me all hooked up! If you want the part numbers let me know and I will get them to ya! |
