Funny story about that Skntpig, a few years back ThunderMountain HD (just a few miles noeth of Denver) had a dyno shootout, and Dan Dunn, Dan Norlin, and Aaron Wilson competed with their NRHS built Buells. They got 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, and 4th place was a Twin Cam with work by NRHS. The next year TMHD added a clause to the dyno shootout that all bikes competing had to be built at TMHD. Funny, eh? |

...when the local High School Principal (of 22 years) was in my shop and pointed with his finger at the tank and said boowell aren't those made in France.
I just snickered yes but I also told him I wasn't raised in this neck of the woods. |

That is how it is ...
If "i" put a new paint job n my 1997 S3T it would be easy to get away with saying it was "ONE OF THEM NEW BUELLS" ..
In fact that could even happen at some of these Dealerships that have a BUELL sign on the building !!!
Know "i" could do it at a HARLEY-DAVIDSON Dealer ... |

I am one of only a few buells out here in Lubbock (west Texas). One is a blast that another student rides ONLY to school when its PERFECT outside and the other is an old man out here that has his own shop and drag races a couple of S2s (they don't get much road use at all). So its always fun to have some one flag me down and ask if Buell is a NEW company... sure... if a 25th anniversary is young.  |

If you make a short road trip 120 miles north you'll see a yellow S2 that's always on the road  . Seriously though, once I get my front isolator and rockerbox gaskets replaced, we should set up a ride. |

When you read 'Old School Buell' entries before your own e-Mail.
I've had more people just come up and say 'That is the finest motorcycle I have seen, Who sells them?' then I let 'em know it's 10 years old.

Most people's attention span fades away before I get done explaining the history of the bike but there is always someone else who says "what the hell is it?" and you get to start over |

Yeah Olbolt, I love when people are checking it out like it's something new that just came out and then I bring up that it's 13 yrs old. Then they feel borderline stupid for not noticing. |

Ah today this old guy came up in the parking lot and asked if the x1 was ducati.....And then i told him what it was and he said thats a wild looking machine and to leave the keys there so he could take it for a spin.. I dont think so this beast is only ridden by me and no one else-EVER. He then asked me how much to buy one and I said i paid 4k for it and its 8 yrs old,He just stared at it like i was joking so i drove off leaving him to scratch his head! |

Oldog I noticed the lack of X1's at homecoming last year!
I saw MAYBE 5 different X1's the whole time. I think there were more S2's represented.. what's goin on there?
