Hey I got a question, I rode up to Gateway Buell today on Lemay. (them people their are great...) On the way home I was crushing about 75 or 80 in the fast lane. Cindy started cutting out, I started heading for the shoulder and she died. Once we got stopped I flipped the peacock over to reserve. She fired right back up. So off we went. I went to the 1st Mobile station I came to in Pacific which was maybe about 3 miles from where I thought I'd ran out of gas. She only took 4 gallons and I had to squeeze that into her. Surely the reserve isn't a whole gallon. I thought it was something like .6 of a gallon. Was I running her to hard and she just stopped running? |

that's typical. the petcock tube is fairly long inside the tank from what i understand. never really looked at it. but some people have been known to take it out and cut it down so it doesn't hit reserve so quick. you can probably do a search and find some stuff on it. |

Mine goes to reserve at around 4.5, others are closer to your experience. You can cut down the tube on the petcock, or just know that you've got a pretty huge reserve. |

Yea I had the same prob. And I did just as they did and emptied the tank and pulled the petcock and cut about 1/2 inch or so and gained some miles between fills. If you get more miles between fills you spend more time riding and less time at the pump. I really do watch my mileage so I do not have to stop more than I have to. The prob I have now is this summer I will have 2 bikes so it may get a bit confusing. Well good luck and the Buell M2's that I have had did have a big difference between reserve and empty. |

Shoeee wee... Glad to hear that's typical. I was afraid I was to hard on her. They adjusted my primary chain and adjusted my rear shock at Gateway. Got that HONDA OIL out of her and she was HOT...She was running sweet... THEN cough cough cough ... Doing 80 in the fast lane of 4 FULL lanes of traffic was a drag... (during Rush hour) By the grace of God, Cindy and I got out of the way safely. Oh Yeah Tom...That 1125R is sweet. Its amazing how smooth and strong, such power, its unreal. I was afraid to rider her to much. Didn't want to make Cindy Jealous...LOL Really tho that 1125R is very nice, and I did really enjoy riding it... But I liked you guys before you let me rider her... Some reason I always feel at home when I go there... Thanks for the ride Tom,and thanks for the great service... Tell Gary I still want to swap him helmets...lol See you soon I'm sure.
