They say alls fair in love and war. Guess that holds turn in bidding in e-bay also. Anyway...Some sly fox stole my bid at the last second and is now paying for a used tank bag for the same price a new one goes for. What my question is; Will a new tank bag work the same on an M2 as the ones they made back then? |

only if you can modify the holding straps. the xb's mount on the airbox cover where the screws are. |

I noticed the one I was bidding on looked just like the ones I've seen for the xb lighting and firebolt. I just wasn't sure about the straps. I've got a couple leads on new M2 tank bags. They just haven't come together yet. Thanks for the info |

it would probably be cheaper to buy an after market one instead of trying to get the buell one for the tubers |

Oh shit..that was you I beat out? Oops...=) Sorry man...But I need it for one reason and one reason only... Oh, I beat you only one bid over what you bid, LOL, and you can't buy them new anymore anyways... I may end up selling it again anyways, if it doesn't have the piece I'm looking for. If eBay snipe bidding were a sport, I would be a star athlete. Forgot which site I saw it on, but there's an auction site that won't allow the sale to end until 5 minutes passes from the last bid. If eBay would adopt such a feature you wouldn't have to worry about sniping. But as long as the system is flawed.. |

It was kinda funny though. I put my final bid in, and the winning bid was only like $0.50 more than mine...Since I could tell that because at that price point, bids are $2.50 apart, and with the "winning" bid being only fifty cents more, I knew how I could win it by one bid. Sorry man. But, I'll PM you if it doesn't end up having what I need. |

i got tired of getting beat at the last second and went with a sniper program. set it and forget it, as they say. "auction defender", it's pretty cool... |

lol . Thats what I did. I set it at 140 plus shipping figured I had it. Then the last second it was gone. I'm like were did it go ? I had my wallet out ready to pay for it. lol... Thats cool a fellow badwebber got it. I seen you also bid on the saddle bags. I was ready for you that time. I got the tank bag he had for sale for .99 cents but its an ocelot. Shipping was awful on both of them and he wouldn't combined them, guess cause I got the tank bag so cheap. I see they sell pegasus emblems now for 7.90. I'm sure that ocelot emblem will come off. So..I'm not bag less, just wasn't a true Buell tank bag. WTG on the win Brinnutz... |

Well, the saddle bags, I was at work...I was trying to reply but my cell phone died when I hit the confirm button. So I couldn't get my last minute bid in...You're lucky, I just wanted it for the tank bra, I was going to sell the bags, I already have 2 sets of those anyways, along with 3 sets of the older saddlebags. Hey, do you want to get a Corbin Gunfighter & Lady seat? I've got 3 of those, LOL Jak, I'll let you know what the verdict is on the Tank Bag..I probably won't need it because it's the same as the new one I have sitting on the shelf. I'm just looking for the mounting style that uses the gas tank bolt to hold the rear of the bag, instead of wrapping it under the frame and stuff. |

lol...Man I was kinda wondering why you didn't hit it again the last second. I seen you had about 50 mins or so before. I figured you were going to swoop in again. So I set the max so High I was afraid you were going to cost me a zillion bucks. lol Yeah the tank bra was my main attraction also. I'd had lost high bid on the other one,(It was just a bra by itself.) That was how I came across this one. I needed saddle bags also. I'm not sure what they go for, but I think I ended up around 145 with the bra. Honestly I was kinda glad I lost the tank bag due to finances, but I would have rather had it then the ocelot. Thats cool you work at a place has Buell tank bags setting on the shelf. Hey I was reading your profile and noticed your license plate. Is that a stock 02 plate holder or is it something different. Thats one sweet bike you got. |

I don't work anywhere associated with Buell, lol, I just have one sitting on my shelf in the garage I picked up from a friend last fall for about $100. Never been used IIRC, I haven't! The license bracket is not the stock one. It is the aftermarket fender eliminator from American Sport Bike. GET IT. OH, and seriously, I have 3 Corbin Gunfighter & Lady seats for the Cyclone. I'm going to be selling 2 of them soon. Are you interested? |

Oh yeah...About the Corbin seat. Right now I'm about tapped out on spending. BUT...I will sure keep you in mind when it comes to needing something. Be it a corbin seat or what ever. Sounds like you got all kind of goodies. I'm not sure how this ocelot strapping system is going to work. Maybe we can do some swapping. lol Thanks for the e-bay thrill. It was fun. |
