ok well i didnt search really so if this was answered im sorry.... but does anyone know if a 1999 M2 gas tank would fit properly (without mods) on a 1998 m2 ... the pics look a little different then mine |

Certainly will , I just put a 98 skinny on my 02, and the bloke I got the tank from fitted my spare manta tank to his 98. |

Yea well its just my decals are bubbling and i need to repaint it, but if i can just get a newer tank that isnt bubbled for way less ill go for it... and thats the case here. ..... oh and because it relates here, around the same time the decals started to bubble the gas cap seems to get stuck and is hard to remove it, has anyone had this issue and do you know a quick fix for it, or how to prevent it in the future. Thanks again |

sand down the black plastic 'ends' on the inside of the cap, the round parts, just take a little off, they like to swell with time so if you take a little of the plastic away, shazzam you are back in business, BTW you can still buy the decals from the dealer, if thats all thats bubbled, just replace them, probably cheaper still than buying a used tank |
