S1 and S2 fenders interchange, but are shaped differently. The S1's are more of an "inside curve" shape, and the S2s are more "outside curve", or rounded. |

Thanks Rex, but I already have an American Sport Bike CF S2 front fender.I was going to trade it for a fairing but I've been so broke the last two weeks that I couldn't afford the shipping! LOL. Things are a lot better and straighter now, getting better every day, but I've since changed my mind about the swap. |

Ross, Just to be a nit-picker technically your bike, if a 95, was never a T model, since they weren't made in 95. Kinda like me putting the 99 S3 bags on the S2 and calling it an S3 (you know I'm just funnin' ya, right?) |

Ok, one more try.... I will not be on the BadWeb much after tomorrow for about a week or two. Please send any updates and I will get to them when I can. Thanks to all of you that have sent me information, the list is starting to grow very well. I do not list the full VIN on the Internet but you are welcome to send it as it clears up a lot of questions. Frank

Oh too true, Philly, which is why on the list my bike previously read as 'converted to a "T" . HOWEVER, if you have Progressive insurance, your '95 S2 WILL magically become an S3 . |

Hi all... I just thought I would let you know that we have a 96 Buell S2-T. We are currently having some issues as the husband dropped it a week and a half ago. The insurance company wants to total it out, and I am working on showing them that the value is a little more than the $2300 they are claiming. At least I hope so... She is Definately the Touring as she came with 3 sets of hardbags. Lolol! She is the grey color, and the last 4 digits in her # are 0048. I posted a thread asking for opinions and saying hi Under Old School Buell... New here and need help is the thread. I saw that you had an owners list, and thought I would let you know WE HAVE ONE!!! I WILL NOT let her go. Pics of damage, and before pics are on my thread. The Title holder... "dad" is Dave. Technically it is his bike. But I LOVE her too. Ok, I am done! LOL! Hope to chat later. OH... Can Anyone tell me... was the backpack given out with the bike? We are second owners. We have the hardbags... Tankbag/ backpack... I am not sure what came standard on the bike honestly. No matter how much I search, It seems like facts are a bit hard to find on her. Anyone know of a good fact sheet on the 96 S2-T? Thanks all! |

Pretty sure the backpack was NOT part of the S2T 'package, but was a separate item available through P & A. I have one, unused with tags. (not the bike - the backpack!) Court Canfield is the chief depository of Buell Knowledge on this board, with a few others a very close second as far as Buell history is concerned. The "Court in Session" thread is where you can place pertinant questions to him, which he will either ignore, tell you that there is a truly amazing story regarding the subject (which he WILL NOT disclose, but will tell you to remind him about it sometime) or he will answer answer in such a way as to leave you fully satisfied and downright enlightened. Take your chances and ask away. Pecan Pie is highly rated for bribery purposes, if it has to come to that. AL |

Looks like I am already on the list somehow, but I am working on putting a 95 S2 back together from a bare frame. It will live again as a landspeed racing bike. Hopefully a fast one! Last 4 of the vin is 1379. Don't know the factory color. Located in Westby WI. Build date is May-95 Jeff Bailey

Looks like I am already on the list somehow Yes, you ended up on the list when you bought the frame from Joe at Homecoming this year. Glad you showed up on the BadWeb and I think we all would like to hear about what you are doing to your bike. Thanks, Frank |

It will be a 160 CID that I plan to ride in the 3000cc PG class. The engine will be entirely S&S. I chose the S2 because of the sideplate design. The 160 is about 5" taller than a stock engine, so I made new sideplates and moved the swing arm pivot down. The plan is to have this running next year. Jeff |

Jeff, very cool S-2. Look kinda familiar with that S&S motor. What heads, is it base bolt cylinders? I was wondering about the side plates. Are you going to run any bodywork? You need to post pics in the Bonneville sectioon of the race area.Keep them coming. |

The engine will be pretty much a copy of S&S's old 160 CID prostock engine. It's a 4.800 bore. The heads a cast prostock. I drew up the side plates and conned a friend into CNC'ing them. They make up the extra 5" of engine height. I will repost this in the Bonneville section when I start making some progress. I plan on running bodywork, but don't know what yet. The 3 options I see are 1. RR1000 - Hard to get, but not impossible. 2. Airtech "Charlie Toy" - Proven to work well, but may not fit on a Buell all that well 3. XR750TT - That's what I am running on my X1 and it works ok. |

Chigirl - send Frank (f_skinner) a PM. Just click his name on the left, scroll down the window that opens, and click the "send PM" link Hey Frank? I'm sending you a series of 1,000 envelopes, each with ONE styrofoam peanut in it. Ya packed that fender real nice, but DAMN, those things are all OVER my garage. ...of course, I probably should have moved the box before pulling my Jeep in to replace a windshield seal, and running over it....lol. Don't worry, the fender was already out and hanging next to my S2's wide bag lids on the wall. |

Chigirl, you can send me a email f_skinner@yahoo.com. If you looked at the list you can figure out the information needed. Build Date (from signature series document or the neck of the frame) Do you have the Signature Series timing cover and documentation? Color Location Model/Year VIN I do not post the VIN to the BadWeb and it only resides on the original spreadsheet. Frank |

Joe, sorry about the packing. I hate when I get boxes like that. I had the UPS people pack it for me. I have gotten to the point that I just use the shop vac to suck them all up..... Frank |

Frank - yeah, I had to find the working shop vac, but I think I got most of 'em (if you ever see my garage, you'll understand why they can hide in lots of places). I have 2 shop vacs, one works great, one is iffy. Keep the iffy one to get ash out of the pellet stove in the basement. Working one got moved while I was out of the picture this summer, nobody could remember where it was put. Doh. Finally found it though Foam peanuts are the devil.... |
