The yellow tag on the side has the numbers 27423-00Y. Then at the very bottom is stamped Harley 17DA. Thanks |

The 00y is a 2000 model year carb. Most likely a 40mm. |

Thanks... I figured it was a CV40. But some reason the past owner said it was CV44. I was going to have him order me a rebuild kit. He swore I'd need one for a CV 44. What ever the kit inclued I'm not sure, but was going to cost around 150 bucks. Think I'll find me a different parts guy |

Dennis, have a parts guy look up that part number. They will be able to tell you for sure. Check with Al at American Sport Bike about the rebuild kit. They are not that much and only consist of a few rubber gaskets. While you have it apart clean it up real good and also replace your intake gasket (between the carb and the intake manifold). Frank |

Thanks Guys... I'm having virus issue's on my computer. If I can't figure out how to get rid of this thing myself. I might have to take it to someone. So if you dont see me around thats why. Thanks for all your help in case Im not back for a while |

It should have a grey carb to manifold grommet if it's a 44, the stock carb to intake seal is black. |
