http://www.webbikeworld.com/lights/led-lighting.ht m sounds like there might not be enough resistance to work the flasher? http://www.webbikeworld.com/lights/index.htm#leds- not-equal LED Turn Signal Flashing Problems? In very rare instances, an LED bulb used for a turn signal may cause the bike's electrical system to either indicate that a bulb is burned out. This may be manifested by an increased flashing rate. The reason for this may be that the bike's electrical system isn't picking up the fact that there's a bulb because of the very low power consumption of the LED. This problem can usually be solved by adding a load resistor wired across the turn signal bulb to simulate a filament bulb load. Load resistors are available at Super Bright LEDs | Good technical information on LED lights, including a discussion of LED light intensity and filtering LED lights for various colors |

One cheap easy fix would be to replace your current turn signal flasher with an elctronic unit. I did this on my 1984 XT600 after adding LED turn signals and it worked great. The unit is a car flasher and will run you about $10 at any auto parts store. I bought mine at Autozone. You will have to figure out a mount for it (zip tie or something) FYI - I also noticed that my LED lights only light up a 4 of the 18 lights when the motor is not running. However when the bike is on, all the lights work great. |

i installed a car flasher, no dice. bought a load equilizer and attached it to the flasher, it makes the lights brighter and allows them to come on, on the battery or when the motor is running. but still on 4 led's light up and each and it wont flash. |

You may want to try and test the lights with a direct connect to a 12 volt battery. I am guessing the lights are good though as it seems weird all of them would be malfunctioning. Final thought, I am assuming you have a full charge on the battery and the bike is charging while running. |

pff. fixed it. for all to know when wiring up LED signals to these cyclone's. I bought a 16 dollar kuryakn' LED load equalizer, 3 wires- 2 purples and one ground "black" i removed the rear fender and found where the signal wires plug into the harness.. next to the fuse box. brown and purple are the positives for the signals and a random black for ground. connect one purple to purple, another purple from the equalizer to the brown wire. and wire black to black. TADA everything works and flashes at a normal rate with proper brightness. |
