I was looking at the 5031 Pro Series Chrome Hypercharger. Its a sharp looking chunk of chrome. I like its looks a lot better then the stock air box. Wasn't anyone home to ask about this .So I figured Id ask you guys what you thought about it. Way it looks to me , it will bolt up to the stock carburetor with one of the two mounting kits. What I don't understand is why are there two different kits, and whats the difference besides the 10 dollar price. Also will this Hypercharger work if I get a different carburetor later. Best I can tell. This comes with a K&N 1/2" thicker filter. Its cost is 269.95 plus shipping at American Sport Bikes Also do we get a discount if we are members here ?

I'm not a fan of them. They will not increase horsepower if thats what you are looking for. Easy bolt on install though. As long as you get one for an 03 or earlier Sportster (CV Carb) you'll be all set. |

I'm not so much looking to increase hp here, other then maybe air flow. Im sure the original box is very functional in doing that. But it looks like some place for me to store my shoes. Kinda like a shoe box. I want the tube frame to be seen on both sides and the air box on her now hides it. I like the X1 Tank Accent real well also. Its 289.95.
The one I like best is the classic A17000 Buell Oval. but that baby is 300 U.S dollars.
Which ever one of them I get. Id also like to get my headers ceramic coated. Again mostly for looks. They just look clean for 169 dollars. The 350 core charge is kinda steep.

I think if you send American Sport Bike your headers first you don't have to pay the core |

the tank accents are the carbon fiber section at the bottom of the tank in that picture not the intake, the intake is a forcewinder. |

OH OK..At 1st I thought thats what it was by it's name. But in the description of the thing it sounded like an air filter. So the tank accents are right above the forcewinder, which is actually the filter. Not the tank accent. gee Man , I'm learning some stuff here. Thanks for your help. |
