I recently acquired a full set of factory Buell bags for my 2002 M2 Cyclone. My question is how exactly to mount the tank bag. The straps are missing so I will have to make those. I was wondering if anyone could take some pics of a mounted tank bag so I route the straps properly. Or at least give a good description of how the straps attach to the frame and where. Or even better, e mail me a copy of the installation instructions. I tried this in the accessories section awhile back but I didn't get any replies. Thanks in advance. Keith. |

Send an email to mfargnoli at gmail dot com and I'll take some photos. Can't seem to find the instructions, but maybe those are in the garage, too. |

the flat strap with the eyelet goes to the tank bolt, the two front straps tie around the frame at the front of the tank. |

Since you don't have straps, you need to fabricate the following: One straight strap that goes from the buckle at the rear of the bag, to the bolt that holds the rear of the tank down. Factory strap has an eyelet that the bolt passes through. One longer strap with 2 buckles on it. It goes from one of the forward bag buckles, through the frame triangle (just under the tank tongue/tab), to the other front bag buckle. I'll see if I can't stick mine on in the next day or so and take a couple pics for ya |

Thanks for all the helps guys. I got a good idea of what to make up but if you got some pics already go ahead and post 'em. They have been a great help so far. I'll be touring next summer without the over stuffed backpack! Can't wait. Thanks again for all your help. Keith. |
