Hi guys, Has anyone been able to adapt a fuel tank to an RS1200? My tank has been leaking and I'm thinking of modifying an S2 tank to work under the top half of my RS tank. Any input/advise would be helpful. Thanks. |

I don't think the S2 tank will fit in the space vacated by hollowing out the RS tank. The S2 tank is rather large. It was done a bit differently on my bike (1991 RS). Check pic in profile. AL |

I used KBS coating to reline mine, couldn't be happier. http://www.kbs-coatings.com/Find-a-KBS-Coatings-Re seller_ep_69-1.html |

Contact Buell. You can get a replacement tank from them. But I think you need to call the factory directly. You're not the first person to have this problem. |

You can still get a replacement tank from Buell for an RS? Really?? A bike that is almost 20 years old which was built by a company that is no longer in business. I haven't hear of anyone able to do that. |

airtech makes a fiberglass tank for them. They recomend not to use it for track use only though. |
