I would like some help with my front pulley. In July I had to replace my front pulley because the teeth between the pulley and output shaft of the transmission had stripped off (aprox 12,000 miles). I replaced the pulley, locking plate, and 1-7/8 nut with parts from ironmachine.com (everything is stock). Fast forward two months (aprox 3000 miles). As I was merging onto the freeway on my way to work the teeth between the pulley and output shaft striped again! (leading to a $200 tow charge) I am wondering if I should go ahead and buy the same pulley, or if anyone had a good suggestion. Thank you for your time – I appreciate it! - Also is it possible to replace pushrods/pushrod covers while the heads are still on the bike using the adjustable pushrods and collapsible pushrod covers? My pushrod covers are leaking at the tops and bottoms, leaving my right leg covered in oil as well as my back tire and rear break :S |
