Well my 2001 S3T sat for over 8 months following some damage from having my deck fall on it during a storm. Smashed fairing, broken fairing mount, bent kickstand. Anyway, I finally got around to hooking up all the electrics in the process of putting it back together and decided to see if it would start up. I hadn't planned on it being down so long so I didn't put any stabil in the tank and I figured the fuel had gummed up the injectors by now. To my suprise and astonishment the bike fired up like it had been running all along!! I think she's ready to roll as soon as I get her all buttoned up again. She must have been feeling lonly since I've been riding my Ulysses all the time since she went down. Tubers RULE! BC Steve |

Steve, It is my opinion that injectors do not gum up the same way that carbs do. Glad she is running well. Just don't let this happen again or a grudge may be held against you... |

Thats a nice thought but the little 10 micron screen can easily gum up. It happened to me 2 weeks ago...I pulled out injector popped it apart and low and behold the screen was 2/3 full of brownish crap, As a matter of fact i had it in hand yesterday and me and my mechanic were joking about it! That is good stevem123 i would get some injector or fuel system cleaner like 44k or somthing similar should work. And drain old fuel out and fill with fresh. As gas starts to break down within only 6 weeks! |

I See That in cars all the time. It's actually crap from the great fuel we get at the pump. What's even more amazing is that the fuel filter wont stop it. The good part is your fuel tank is plastic so it's not rust. |
