thinking about selling my carbon kevlar edition #57 and getting a newer xb wondering what a 1999 kevlar edition with low miles, 4500 to be exact might bring any ideas or maybe any interested parties? has brand new 180/55/17 continental rear tire and dunlop front. fresh new oil change and primary change, brand new set of iridium NGK's, K&N air filter, mini-turn signals <non-led>, kept all stock parts. again like I said this is not a for sale post yet... just curious what to expect PM me with ideas/offers (Message edited by bald_bueller on October 11, 2008) |

Noah, you will be dissapointed with the resale value of your X1 so I recomend that you hang on to it for a minute. Besides the XBs aren't all that IMO. |

I used Plan B: Kept the X-1, and added an XB. Best of both (or all) worlds. |

I would keep it and get an xb12. I have an x1 and would never sell it, And i have ridden the 06 xb12 and it has all the carbon and race mods, muffler, ecm, ect. And it is a teeny bit faster than my x1 with the same mods, It feels different thats is for sure. |

Good Luck. I've got #205 and at one time thought I'd keep it all stock and it would bring more in the future, that idea fell flat years ago. It's now getting jacked up for a 1250 kit and other goodies this winter. Sorry to rain on the parade. |

I think the XBs are a bit quicker, and more nimble...but my tubers are much more spiritual for me. Good solution, though - you sound like me (S1W, S2, UlyX)! |

I traded my XB9R for an X1 this summer, and never looked back! I was just too cramped on the XB. The X1 is a much more "real" motorcycle to me. |

Hhhmm Good points. I remember from somewhere the xb is designed to be the motorcycle that disappears beneath you, With that in mind go ride one, Oh they are more stable in the corner and is very nimble The x1 does feel more like a real? motorcycle if thats even possible!! Oh yeah im going to get more of these bikes i would like 3-4 But i need a track bike to , Since we got a sweet new state of the art race facility here now...YES! Damn no money! |
