Seals might need replacing, but that should be about it. And the recalls. You get that seat yet? | ||

my 01 m2L sat for 6 years in a warehouse in Japan, when I did the cylinder and rocker gaskets there was a faint line on the barrels where the pistons had been, which is nothing and other than a new o ring kit for the carb which had developed a leak its so far shown no affects of sitting for a long time as far as performance goes, cleaning up the rust on most of the bolts etc. took up most of the time but its looking mint now | ||

i bought a 99 m2 with 2300 miles on it last spring, and it had been sitting for probably 3 years since it was last ridden. runs like a champ! only thing that needed a little tlc was cleaning it up. not a whole lot of rust, but you'd have to look to notice it at all. got the carb re-jetted and all the fluids changed before we took her out for the first time. | ||

Can you pull the plugs and look in the cylinders with a dentist mirror? the other thing, take the silver dollar sized inspection cover on the primary off and have a look at the primary chain for evedence of rust, mabe a squirt of oil in the cyl's or marvel mystery oil, before you fire it. Could be your getting a rightious bike |
