Posted here to get more visibility. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ewItem&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&viewitem=&item =200255704152 I'm going to be putting my bid on this before it ends, as I don't have a fuel filter on my bike. Thanks! |

It likely would work on your bike.I believe that was the recall kit to replace the plastic(prone to fracture) original that came on the first model X1.I just replaced it with a Purolator#F29160 from the local auto superstore. Can you even benefit from one? |

I don't know. That's another thing I was going to ask. I assume it wouldn't be needed, as I don't have a fuel pump. But I don't see how a filter would be a bad thing. All I have is a screen in the bottom of the tank I believe. (Message edited by brinnutz on September 25, 2008) |

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/B031-263578.pdf The item on eBay was a recall kit to retrofit to 99 X1s and S3s. It would almost certainly fit on your M2. It all looks nearly identical to the fuel filter on my X1, other than instead of zip ties my filter is held to the bracket with metal clamps wrapped in rubber. I can't find anywhere that lists a fuel filter for an M2. I wonder if one designed for a DDFI model would be too restrictive for a carbed buell? stock tuber fuel filter racing tuber fuel filter |

There isn't a fuel filter on M2's, but I would like one for, piece of mind. Maybe I'll just take Duc's approach and get one from an auto store. |
