Hey guys I was hoping for a little info about this pipe, I was messing with it after the clamp bracket broke, Made a new bracket and pulled out 8 discs from an original 15, Now the bike wont start i also put race ecm on bike and race intake prior to removing the discs. How many discs should i be running with these race parts-I live in utah so elevation is a mild factor. any help will be appreciated tanks to all. |

Pulling out disks will (should) not affect startability. It will shift your horsepower / noise levels up or down depending on whether you add or take away disks. You may have to re-jet, but going from 15 to 8 shouldn't keep the bike from starting. I agree with Brinnutz - your race ECM might have issues or may not be plugged in correctly. Is it new or used? |

Is your fuel pump plugged in? Pulling discs will not cause a no-start condition. You should probably be running 14-15 disks. |

well I could see raw fuel vapor then i would close throttle and crank for 3-4 seconds then bike will fire up run for few seconds then dies like it is flooded, I pulled out the disks and there all sooty which is a rich problem not a fuel starvation problem! I noticed right off the bat after disc removal. The second i went to start it cranked 15 times before it started It never did this until discs were taken out. I rode it 18 miles ran well gobs of torque and i parked it until this morning and bang problems |

I run the Buell Pro series which is a "Super Trapp". The instructions that came with it call for 10 to 12 discs. Less for more back pressure, better low end torque (less noise). More discs for less back pressure, better high end HP (more noise). I run 11 discs. Sounds good, runs good. 8 discs are probably too much back pressure. I was told if you run more than 12 you will have to re-map fuel curve or it will run lean. |

Well i put the discs back in and the bike still has the same problem so i pulled ecm out tested my other one... Same prob. So i proceeded to pulled the plugs and tested them and the spark was good... So i swapped the fuel tank and filter, Now no problems started fine. But i never pinpointed the problem i think its one of 3 things, 1.fuel filter cannot handle pump pressure. 2.the fuel pump is going bad 3.the fuel pressure regulator is bad. regardless the bike runs fine and now i got all the disc back in muffler DAM!
