Did the Key West poker run yesterday. Hit the road at 2 pm and didn't get back home until 3 am. Riding there, hanging around for a few hours and back in the same day made for a long ride. Coming back in the middle of the night with the moon overhead was awesome. It was a nice ride coming home. No traffic, cool weather (at least cooler than the ride in) and awesome scenery coming over the bridges. Well worth it!! The bike ran flawless and smooth the entire way (as I expected). We did over 500 miles yesterday. The bike now has just over 1K miles now since the rebuild!

+1 on the jealousy. I'd love to ride down to the Southern Most Point. Been there but never ridden it. |

I lived down there for a year... Nice plae to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there now. I have been back to visit a few times and even rode down there once on my H-D Springer Softail. |

Wife and I went for St Pat's day, 2007. Flew into Miami, rented an FLHX from Peterson's HD, and rode the rest of the way. Awesome trip, loved riding the bridges. That water.... I'd been many times in college, it was her first time. Oh, and we went ahead and got married on a sunset cruise while we were down there, on a schooner. We're headed back for anniversary #2 this coming March. Can't wait. Finnegan's Wake, here we come!! |
