what is the cheapest easiest way to break 100 horsepower to the wheel on an X1? Is it possible to put 88" jugs on a sporty motor with machine work? |

You can do an 88" or 90" kit to a Sportster engine after getting the cases bored, but what is your definition of "cheap" and "easy"? How much do you want to spend? |

a 1250 kit, 536 cams, and head work should put you at 100whp, if not a little more... BUT, the head work is NOT cheap... Chase |

I was 4hp away with XB heads, 10.5:1 pistons, Mikuni 42, and a big f'n cam. I've since gone with a 1250 kit, headwork, and a 45mm...haven't had her on a dyno yet, though. Don't use .536 cams, the new(er) .575's are much better |
