well It was an intake leak that is causing the sputter at full throttle......So what i did was take air filter off and install it backwards so no air can get in and start bike and use smoke from and incent the stick style and get it close to the intake and you can actually see the smoke get sucked into the bad seal, But this will make the leak worse! so if you plan on using it i.e. riding the bike for a while don't do this as it made the leak major. |

Usually I just spray carb cleaner at the intake seals on a running bike. Change in rpm's when sprayed = intake leak...and it doesn't make it grow |

hmmm. nice it was an accident when we put in backwards we were testing a new type single sided weather stripping from a car application. It was just set there for a test and when i left he thought it was the way it went in and just buttoned up the set up, it was totally a chance find! but all in all a good lesson learned! |
