Yes, bad news. The mine went at 60.000 Km. You'll have to replace them by the upgraded OEM part P/N L0504.9 or have a look at American Sport Bike

Good luck with the assembly.

Regards.

Yes.
That picture is all out of focus.

Oh, you mean the isolator?

Looks great (from what I can tell)....any tears or splits?

How many miles? Any rips or tears? Your pic doesn't give any clear info. The bolt will not be centered on the new unit either. If they are bad, get the improved ones from Al at American Sport Bike. Mine were shot at 19K.

There are no rips or tears that I can see, and both sides look exactly the same. Its out of focus cause I took it with my cell phone. I noticed it when I was looking for that mystery bolt location. The bike seems like it rides great, no bouncing or excessive vibrations or anything. There are 13,500 miles on the bike as of yesterday. Even the guy at Harley said it was the best riding tuber he had ever been on!

The bolt isn't supposed to be in the very center of the frame hole.

If you don't feel a problem, the isolators are probably fine.

You'll feel a "looseness" or change in the footpegs if you have a bad isolator. Other signs are the bolt slammed down into the isolator or a tear in it.

The bolt is supposed to be off-center.

Your picture doesn't indicate a bad isolater.

The frame hole is further down than isolator and this is nothing good, the mine had the same shape. but like says Sloppy as long as You don't feel a "looseness" or change in the footpegs don't worry

Wouldn't I feel like a clunk or the bike would be unstable? Because I have been REAL hard on it since it has been out of storage. I just got back from Iraq and I have put lots of miles on it the last three weeks! But it has felt just fine, it doesnt wallow in the corners, other than the crap rear shock with the horrible rebound dampening.

Where can one get/see the "revised tool" for the ISO job? Can you use the revised tool to geto old iso's out?

This thing showed up in my garage door the other night. I felt bad so I let it in. I'm soooo compassionate. : )

I used a 5/16 X 1" bolt. I put a couple washers behind the swingarm block so it wouldn't gough up the aluminum and used the nut to push against the back of where the right peg mounts. It worked great and cost almost nothing.I don't know what the tool costs but mine worked fine.

Good.

Nothing wrong with your isolator from the pic. It is offset the way your is when new. Is it ripped when lookin from the front to the back of the bike or vise versa. Have someone fat sit one it and jump up and down on the seat when looking back to front.
