Not a S2 but this was my first Buell. A 1997 S1. It was stolen last year from the kid that bought it from me. I think this is the only picture I have of it. I found it while going through my Dads pictures last week. This picture was taken in the summer of 97 when I rode it from MD to NC (about 500 miles). I will never do that on a S1 again.

My winter project! Number 35.
Lean Baby, Lean!
S2's don't lean. The rest of the world does.

It's actually leaning a little to the right... LOL beautiful Frank. I am jealous. Now that I have a yellow set, I thought about getting a white set too. Who knows... |

Bart, I will shoot you a email on the bags. The more I thought about it on the drive home I should have just thrown them in your truck. Joe, I love that white bike. It will look great next to the S1W. I have some work to do to it but nothing major. Just cleaning it up. Ross, the Yellow Jacket and Pearl white are my favorites for the white framed bikes. Still not as fast as the Quick Silver S2T but looks great. Now I need to find someone that can repaint the body work to its original glory. Frank |

yeah, the white frame looks good with white or PM wheels, but on my bike it looks out of place. I traded my PM wheels for a pair of Charcoal M2 wheels and a new Forcewinder. I did it because the guy I traded with was able to send me his wheels and wait on the PMs to get there. Sorry Frank. I didn't have the resources to buy the other first and I needed new tires BAD anyway. I'll try and post a pic here in a bit... |

Ross, did I see on a thread that you are looking for a S1 oil bag? No problem on the wheels. They pop up on ebay from time to time. Joe, tell Kim not to make fun of Lynn's bike LOL... Well Lynn and I are going to a bike rally down south in the mountains this weekend and the 96 S2T is back in the work area. My throttle and idle cable are sticking bad. I got a new throttle cable and had to order an idle cable from the local dealership but it will not be here in time so I will run without it. The clutch may need a new spring plate. It jerks in gear when starting with the clutch pulled in. I put a new clutch cable on it but it seems to be slipping a bit. Not bad but I notice it. I hope it will last until I can do a rebuild on it. Ah yes, the joys of owning a tuber. I would not have it any other way. Frank |

Butch, thanks. I think I have one in the garage but have yet to locate it. I don't really need the idle cable anyway. I rode for years without one. I only starting using one when my ironhead broke a throttle cable and if I had an idle cable I could have reversed it as a throttle cable LOL. If anyone has an extra let me know. I will also post in the parts wanted. Frank |

Frank, it is true. I am looking for an S1 oil bag. reasons- My oil tank has a hairline crack, S2 oil tanks are EXPENSIVE and hard to find, I don't have the time to take it off and have it welded, I wanna change to an S1 style rear subframe for a cleaner look. Gorgeous Frank, but why did you take the bags off? I see them next to the tent. I noticed you used the deep lids. |

I don't like those big bags on the bike unless I am actually loaded up. The small bags look great compared to those bulky things but you sure can put a lot of stuff in the big ones. I did not upgrade the weather stripping so they leaked LOL... That is a winter project. I usually put everything in plastic bags anyway. |
