Ive been having bike problems and I think the carbs all gunked up. It had sat for about a month before i bought it and I'm assuming the gas brokedown leaving all kinds of deposits. Ive read that the newer mixtures break down fairly fast. Anyways, does anyone know of a good rebuild kit or do you think it even needs one? Its got about 19,000 miles. So I'm not sure if a good cleaning is all it needs or if its due for a rebuild. It runs but not for very long and then itll just cut out. |

I think you should just clean it and check the fuel filter. |

Best thing to do is disassemble and clean out all the passages, jets and float bowl. Also replacing the accelerator pump and all the rubber and spring pieces is not very expensive or hard to do either. |

Would i have to buy them all seperately or is this a kit for something like this? And would you recommend going to the dealer for something this or can it be found at any autopart store? |

I think the main expense of the rebuild kit would be the CV diaphragm. It doesn't sound like you need a kit, just a thorough cleaning (as has been suggested). The bowl gasket can easily be reused with no problems. I doubt autoparts stores would have rebuild kits for 40mm Cv Keihins for sale, but I'm sure anything can be ordered. |
