Thank you for all the compliments. I apologize for my garage as I am into cabinetmaking as a side business along with just about any other project that comes my way.  As for the guages and the panel.. the guages are Sunpro 1.5" dia. bought from our local Auto Zone. They came in a 3 pack which included a volt meter, a oil/water temp.,and an oil pressure gauge. I had my voltage regulator die and that is when I made the new panel. The panel is made out of .5" UHMW which is very easy to work with and can be cut and shaped with my woodworking tools. As of now I have about .5" between the clutch cable and the oil temp. gauge. The gps mount works great for the last 1000 miles that I have had it. I need to wire a 12v accessory port so I can plug it in other than run off the battery. Brett I might entertain making 1 or 2 more pm me if you are interested and we can figure something out. Cyclone the catch can I made in my garage it is a piece of sch. 40 stainless steel pipe that is capped on both sides. I drilled and tapped 2- 1/8" pipe threads with short nipples and a 1/4" pipe thread on the other side for a drain plug. Once again thanks for all the compliments. Paul | ||

Good work there! I am keenly interested in ripping off your driving light mounting idea. Is that aluminum bar stock? I was originally going to mount some lights on my fork with clamps like these: http://www.boostcontroller.com/index.php?item=123 | ||

Nate, Steal away!!! That is stainless steel stock. I milled flats and drilled a 1/4" through hole for the lights. On the end of the stock I drilled a 1/4" hole and cut off a bolt of the same thread as the stock bolt and welded them together. The lights are off the shelf from your local and always friendly Wal-Mart The whole set-up works great as I work third shift and get done with work at 3am. When I flip the switch it is a huge improvement. Even the local leo does not have a beef with them. Any more questions or pictures let me know. Paul | ||

Paul on the GPS power to the cradle grab the insturment light circuit its on with both key positions orange/white IIRC 12v the Garmin quest that i have i went with their powered cradle the OP gauge has a tube going up to the steering head? Aaron prototyped my billit dash from a uhmw cutting board material 6$ Whos saddle bags did you use? | ||

Oldog, Thanks for the info I will have to give that a good look later today. As for the OP gauge it does have a tube that goes up to the steering head. I have not yet hooked it up yet because I need to make a fitting for the return line to the 3/8" pipe tee that I am going to use. The saddle bags are Givi soft bags. I picked them up at a local metric bike store on sale for $140.00 so I could use them for homecoming this year. Here is the link I hope! Oldog, No chafing as of yet or at least none that I can see. I have about 1000 miles on now with the OP gauge installed and just looked at it this afternoon and alls good. I will continue to check routinely so thanks for the heads up. Paul | ||

Actually it is the stock windscreen. It just looks short because of the new instrument panel. Paul |
