I get about 4 gallons before reserve on a manta tank. |

see thats what my manual says but i go about 53 miles than i gotta put it in reserve and wen i fill it up i can only fit 2 gallons so somethings wrong. so my main fuel must be smaller rite?? |

Not necessarily I found that I can and have put 5 gallons or more actually 5.12 in the tank. This was discussed before and it all depends on the height of the stand pipe on the fuel valve. I just treat it like I have a big reserve. Migs in you're case you might check on clipping the stand pipe but I have no idea what that would in tail. (Message edited by 46champ on August 10, 2008) |

I thought two gallons or more of reserve was excessive, so I pulled the petcock out of the tank and cut off the pipe. I used a tubing cutter. There is a screen that fits over the pipe, so be nice to it. |
