Well, I just won a set of X1 forks on eBay and will be putting them on my M2. (Don't worry, the stock one's aren't going anywhere, I am one of "those" guys). I do have a few questions though: Will they work with the PM wheels I have on my bike now? Can I use the same rotor as my Cyclone has now? Can I use the X1 fender of the S1 fender, or both? I'll probably have more questions about fittings and stuff...Time to dig up the old threads about it! |

Wilson, The PM wheels will work just fine. The wheel spacers off the M2 should work just fine as well. The same rotor can be used. All tuber front rotors are interchangeable (not taking into account pad/rotor compatibility). The '97 only Ferodo ST-1 rotor is probably the only bastard child to worry about, however...so you'd be 100% safe. The early X1 front fenders were the same as S1 front fenders, but somewhere along the line the cutouts in the fender where the forks go were enlarged (i.e. more material removed) on the X1. Fire away when you got more questions, 1313 BTW, it was GREAT seeing you at Homecoming again this year! |

Sorry Guell!!! I'm gonna have to sandblast them though and polish them. Thanks Brankin.. I think I'm going to order a 2002 S3 front fender so i can get i to match colors! |
