Bud: I have photos of the day I departed at 3:30AM and rode that gorgeous red RS-1200 cross country and riding it into The Art of The Motorcycle that night. I averaged (as the photos of the clocks attest) a nice triple digit number to cover the ground in the mere 18 hours I had to ride. But . . . I got some fabulous shots of the bike at sunset in the red rock arches of Bryce Canyon. Great memories . . . . and a great bike. It was about 20 years ago I bought my first red RS-1200 and rode it to work daily. |

Bud: I took two camera bodies with me. I shot FuJi portrait film in a Minolta body and used a Nikon digital. To make good my bet with a well known musician I needed to document that I could actually cover those miles in a day. My stops, starting with a sunrise stop in near Beaver Creek, CO to warm my frozen hands, were all quickly photographed. The routine was I'd quickly set each camera on a tripod carried in a backpack. . . run into the pic, change cameras and go! At one point I was shooting photos while riding . . interesting shots. There was a placque displayed with the motorcycle proclaiming it as the ONLY motorcycle RIDDEN to the Guggenheim event in any of the locations. . . NYC, Chicago, Spain or Vegas. The bet was while at dinner with Kirsteen Britten, a friend who's Britten was in the show and the musician. I made the boast, when asked what was so special about the Buell . . "it is art that can be ridden. It's not only art, it's REAL art". They scoffed. The next thing you know . . . words were flying and I was riding. Aaron made this possible. Few folks would allow such a piece of art in the hands of a fool who's mission was to move it nearly 1,000 miles in the fastest possible time. Typical Aaron . . .he saw it as a challenge and was instantly on board. I LOVE riding RS-1200s! I suppose . . in this day and age . . I should complain to Buell about the bike. . . but I'm not sure what I'd complain about. I used to run out of fuel on my own RS. . . perhaps next time I see someone from Buell I'll let them know the moto-waterboarding they put me through making me zip all over the country on a bike that needed fuel. I can't wait to see you guys. Dris is still coming, right? Court |

Dris: When you firm up dates let me know. I think (subject to developments with my sister's health) we'll be heading to do a Buell thing in Italy, meeting the Australians, heading to London then back to New York City. We haven't nailed down the NYC to East Troy leg yet. We've talked about having a couple demo Buells shipped here and riding or perhaps just driving. The last conversation was to just fly from NYC to Milwaukee. Keep me posted on your plans and let me know if I may be of help. All the best, Court |

Court, Nice strip..... We leave Amsterdam airport at 1th of July and arrive the 2nd of July In East Troy at our Hotel. We arrive with 6-8 people all Dutch. If we can have some information about where all the other European Buellers stay and sleep. and what the schedule is that would be great. We have no program until now and hope somebody will help us out when we arrive with the program.. Mail me otherwise with the information you can give then I will send it to the other guys and girls.. |

easyrider - I don't know if the international buell.com site has the event list, but the USA version of the owners pages lists the homecoming events. If you can't access it, let me know and I can copy and paste it to you. joe |

Joe: If you would do that it would help. I don't **think** there is any mention of Homecoming on the other sites. Dris, how English fluent is the group? Should we arrange a tour of the factory in Dutch? |

Grr....trying. The site is up to its old trick of not letting me in again...new password request didn't work, so I'll try another request. I enter username, password, and it doesn't say "incorrect", it just bounces me back to the main owners' login page. <sigh> Computers hate me. |

Wish I had the money to buy the yellow from you Rex. I would love to make my bike yellow until I can afford all the pieces in carbon fibre. |

Rex, I look forward to getting you info on the bikes. The Pearl White is my favorite followed by Yellow Jacket Pearl. Of course, any S2 looks great to me. |

The a Yellow jacket Pearl is definitely my favorite factory color. Eventually I may keep a spare set of body panels in it, but in the meantime I'm gonna work and save to make my bike the only "Carbon Fiber" colored S2T . |

I will get the bike and see what kind of shape the yellow bodywork is in. maybe we can work out a deal, if I can find a white tank cover, fairing and fender. I have a carbon fiber front fender that came off of my S1.....might fit your s2? are you going to be at home coming? |
