Author Message   Essmjay Posted on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 - 08:00 pm:        Leaving on August 8 for Wisconsin from Washington. Taking my '99 S3. Servicing the bike for the trip and noticed that my third rear shock is leaking and the compression adjustment screw just spins. So the bike just bounces up and down. I have the upgrade 14" mount on the bike. Does anyone have a shock they could get to me before I leave? I am hauling the bike to Madison, Wisconsin, and riding it back, so if you were close to Madison I could pick it up there also. I am short on funds because I just bought an S2, but I have some cash and I could also make you a custom etched Derby cover. Like this- Just a few I've done. I can take your idea and put it into a chrome derby cover for you as a trade. Two are upgrade shocks and one is the original 16". You could have them for the cost of shipping. The covers depend on how complicated the artwork is. For instance, the Garcia cover took a lot more time than the red cross cover. I don't really have prices as I usually just do them for friends. So I seldom make up for the time I put into them. I am not looking to start selling them to people, just wanting to make a trade right now. If the ebay one is shot, I'll probably end up sending one of yours out for rebuild.
