To quote "Wild Hogs" , "my ass took a pounding last night" I rode my Buell 140 miles last night with a race seat made of 1" closed cell foam, and 1/2 gel on top. It just is not enough padding for a trip like that. What would be the most comfortable seat I could get for the Tuber chassis? thanks, george

George, I may be in the minority here but I really like the stock seats on my 2001 S3T and my 2002 M2. Both are good for all day rides and, if I am planning to stay in the saddle for longer periods between stretch breaks, I use a gel pad from Soft Bottom. softbottom.com That might even make your race seat bearable for longer periods. Good luck, Dave |

You know, I wasnt sure if I should click on this or not... with that title and all... THEN, reading the qoute... I REALLY had doubts... ANYWAY, best thing I can tell you, with such a unique seat pan, take it to an upholsestry shop. let them do something for ya... Chase |

The Corbin Seat on my S2 is awesome. They're pricey but worth every penny. They're also hard to find used, I'm betting because people are rarely disappointed. |

"I may be in the minority here but I really like the stock seats on my 2001 S3T and my 2002 M2." I was experimenting with seat heights and found that a stock M2L seat was more comfortable on my standard height M2 (for me). It also provides more 'fore and aft' room in the scooped out section than the standard seat does. |

You need to build up your muscles for longer rides. Other techniques are to periodically flex and stretch while you're on the road. I go for 10+ hour rides with gas stops being our only break. Stock seat works fine - your padding and gel sound like luxury |

Please... We all know he just wanted to show off his beautiful S3 . I say keep stackin' the padding 'til it's level with the tail section. Your back may hurt after riding then, but ass should feel fine |

Looking at that bike shows me a machine without comfort in the equation. Your gonna have to look for an upholsterer with some creative knowledge. The seat on my X1 is very comfortable, much to my surprise when I got it and then putting 250 miles of California foothills twisties in 5 hours. |
