Well, I've been lurking here for a while and have a few posts up, but I finally managed to get an M2. Cosmetically she's a little rough, but I managed to ride it 860 miles back home so she is obviously mechanically sound...I think. Since I'm new to Buell ownership I've got a couple of questions for those with more experience: Where do you guys find your parts, aside from the listings on this forum? Can you still find the tach upgrade for older M2s? Is the Corbin seat really that much more comfortable? Finally, do all of the upgraded shocks have the reservoir attachment? I just keep looking at the shock and wondering if it is the original. I'll see if my local dealer can find out if the recall was taken care of, but I'm preparing for a runaround if it's not. |

what year is it, Ive got an 02 no probs with the seat , mate had a corbin on his I found it too wide at the front and the standard one was way better, don't know about the skinnier 97 /98 seats. I haven't had any probs with parts availability, you see tacho kits on ebay occasionally. The later shocks had the reservoir Well done on the purchase, great bikes. |

Most parts are still available from dealers. Also you can find great deals here and Ebay. If you bring your VIN number to the dealership they can run it and check on the recalls and safety campaigns. I have an 01 M2 and love it to death! Congrats! |

Mick, It is a 2000 model and the seat isn't bad, but it has some cosmetic damage and I'll end up replacing it eventually so the corbin is an option if it's comfy. It is a great bike. Going that distance on a none cruiser would be horrible on most bikes, on this one I just had to take a break every 100-150 miles or so. And it ran like a champ. Going to the dealer today. |

Welcome to Buell ownership. I have the original seat on mine and have done 700 mile days back to back with little arse soreness. Look at what the sponsors here have to offer. You will find lot's of accessories to personalize your bike. |

BadWebber Guell had a factory tach kit for barter the last time I saw him. Just about everything is still available NOS if you got the scratch. |
