Lots of motor work and upgrades done. I did the finishing touches on her this morning. Then put about 150 break in miles on her today. I'm in love again!

Ah! True Love! It's like getting your old sweetheart back. Lookin' Good Beach!! (a little more motivation for me too, I've GOT to get started on mine, but it's so hard when you have something else to ride) Rotzaruck!! |

Great job! Where did you get that air cleaner? I'm thinking of changing mine to something like that or a Forcewinder. |

Its actually an HD Twin Cam, Screamin Eagle filter. I modified it to fit my needs. She really rips now. She is breathing and responding VERY well! |

Very nice job. I am still contemplating the replacement of my bread box. I like the looks of the one they have at Airtech for the M2. Kinda teardrop shaped. |

Yeah, I really wanted to keep the stock airbox with the K&N filter I had in there. But, we ran her with just the open velocity stack at first (after the rebuild) and she was so much more alive and responsive. I decide to chop the bread box and fab an open filter. My buddy gave me a 50's Panhead round air cleaner cover and she bolted right on. Its not good to run an open air filter (like I have in the picture, in the rain or around the beach where I live). So I mounted the Pan a/c cover. It is pretty badass having an actual original 50's Pan part on my Buell. It gives it even MORE character. I love her to death! |

I don't have any pics of the air cleaner cover on my bike right now. BUT, its looks just like the round one below with the old school bar and shield as seen in the oval one at the bottom of the page. Hope that helps for a visual! Round like this...
But, with this bar and shield in the middle of it.

I had the stock "bread box" on the bike before the tear down. During the rebuild I rebuilt the carb., among other things. When I fired the bike up and gave it a test run with just the open velocity stack the thing screamed. So I figured I would make my own custom open airbox. So thats what I did using a Twin Cam Screamin Eagle kit. I wanted a little protection for the filter element. Since I do ride often and sometimes get caught in rain. My buddy thought his Panhead air filter cover would fit perfectly over the TC filter and it did! I'm stoked with the way the bike came out. Both visually and performance wise, I'm happy! |
