What do you guys get for MPG and if you can break it down to highway/city. I checked mine for the first time (had the bike a few months)and it was over 40MPG on back roads (heavy handed). Is that high. I think she's running lean but the plugs appear to be OK. |

I have been using my 97 M2 to commute 75 miles round trip and have been getting about 70 mpg. 70% highway, 30% stop and go. I only get that if I keep the rpm's as close to 3000 as possible and accelerate slowly(kind of sucks the fun out of riding though). If I dive like I want to, hard and fast, I get about 45mpg. The bike is tuned as perfectly as I can get it, and is stock except for a Vance&Hines can. |

I get 55-60 mpg with my normal riding. I think 65 mpg would be achievable by accelerating gently and staying close to 55 mph. |

OK, it looks like my mileage is right on at 40 MPG riding hard on back roads. I really didn't think it would be that high. All my big twins got 35-45 MPG so I never thought a hot 1200 would get 65-70. |

I've never been able to get more than 52 mpg on my carbed M2, but I'm not an econo-rider. |

46 mpg on an '02 M2, ridden moderately hard. I'll have to try and go easy on it and see how much it changes. |

45 mpg in aggressive riding, quick starts, brief visits to 120+. 50+ on expressway jaunts, or steady 60 mph back roads. If I crank it up to 80+, less than 50. ( carb'ed '01 M2L ) |

I ride 50 miles one way to work. A little hot hand average 60 to 70mph with high speed passing. the 2002 m2 gets 47mpg |

My rides are mostly short and in town. I get 43 there. Longer rides are usually fun routes, same MPG. On the highway, not sure. More for certain but I haven't done the math yet. |
