My speedo stopped working. A new cable didn't fix it, so it must be the speedo.

Does anyone fix or repair them?

If I have to replace, does Buell still sell them?

M

Did you check the drive on the front wheel? Sometimes the tang breaks off when the cable binds.
Timing is everything. I just sold a new, never used, S2 speedo on Ebay. Shipping out this week.

Hi V2win,

Sorry to be slow in responding. We've been finishing the house and moving the last couple of weeks. No time for fun.

I checked the front drive and didn't see any tang. But not sure what I'm looking for. Could you describe or could I send you a pic?

Mike

The hub in the front wheel has a hole in it. The speedo cable drive unit has a "tang" that fits into the hole of the hub. As the wheel turns, it drives the cable drive. Sportster drives are the same as Buell drives of the same year.
