My speedo stopped working. A new cable didn't fix it, so it must be the speedo. Does anyone fix or repair them? If I have to replace, does Buell still sell them? M |

Did you check the drive on the front wheel? Sometimes the tang breaks off when the cable binds. Timing is everything. I just sold a new, never used, S2 speedo on Ebay. Shipping out this week. |

Hi V2win, Sorry to be slow in responding. We've been finishing the house and moving the last couple of weeks. No time for fun. I checked the front drive and didn't see any tang. But not sure what I'm looking for. Could you describe or could I send you a pic? Mike |

The hub in the front wheel has a hole in it. The speedo cable drive unit has a "tang" that fits into the hole of the hub. As the wheel turns, it drives the cable drive. Sportster drives are the same as Buell drives of the same year. |
