hey guys i never thought i would say it but i bought a v twin lol. i have a 01 cyclone with the only mods im aware of being a k@n filter and the carbon fiber filter cover. i will post pics soon. i do however need a factory service manual for it. the valve cover gasket leaks and i think im gona try it myself possibly. any tricks to help ease the pain? i have my eye out on parts on ebay but not much available as far as i can see. just wondering if anyone has the fsm in pdf or somewhere i can purchase a hard copy and not a paper copy. i love the look of the chopped manta tail section if anyone has one for sale or any cool ideas they have tried and could walk me through. i also have a 78 kaw kz1000 that i am redoing the motor so got plenty to do. so far i have put 400 miles on the new buell in the 2 weeks i test rode it from a car dealership here in town. thats it for now c ya |

welcome shag. as far as getting information on the m2 you can do a search and find just about what ever you want. not sure if anyone has downloaded the service manual on here yet but by once again, doing a search you should find out pretty easy. also if you go to the BRAN which is on the main page at the top, you can find out who lives by ya if they are signed up on it or go to the stormfronts and see if one of the threads relate to your area. a lot of good info here and a lot of good people so enjoy the ride. |

Welcome Corey, a dealer, ebay or classified here will get you a manual. The valve cover gaskets are a good starting point for your Buell. Make sure to get the newer (not paper)gaskets. You will need to file down a allen key to get to the bolts directly under the frame. But other than that is standard automotive practices. Joe |

ok i tried once again mick. the reason i need the fsm is to replace the valve cover gaskets which doesnt look to bad except for the front mouter mounts near hhe front cylinder. looks like i need to remove those bolts and support the motor is what im thinking. anyone have any thoughts? yeah the bar and shield is unique, thanks. |

Yep, support the motor from the bottom, I used a floor jack under part of the shock mount. That will allow you to carefully jack the motor up or down as necessary to get the bolt holes to line up when you reinstall the mount. I just did this on my M2 when I removed the front mount to cut-off the ear for the stock air cleaner support mount. Good luck, Shoo |

How much did you pay for it? There's a 2001 near me with only 2800 miles, but he wants $5300! Seems a bit high for a 01 anything. |
