I am in the same position as you with my 2kS3 so I am very interested in the opinions that should follow in this thread. I read probably what you did so intending to get myself a race ECM for free, I burned a copy of a buddy's race ECM, using ECM Spy, and was about to load it onto my ECM - but since I am still using a stock intake and muffler there is no rush and I simply have not got to it yet. |

I have heard it is successful to do it, burn to race ecm that is.....esp if you have a newer stock ecm. Something about the numbers need to jive. dont know. Anyway havent people been ok running stock exh muffler with the race ecm? I thought some here still do with the race ecm. I have ecm spy up and running on my laptop and even have another stock ecm incase i screw my original up. XODOT I do not have the files for a race ecm and would be interested in yours. AS far as the intake and Buell factory goes cant u just throw in a k and N filter and be good to go with the race ecm? I would think so. |

Supposedly, you cannot just upload the race ecm data to a stock ecm. The data is held in different locations for the two. I was going to upload the race data over my stock and was told it would not be right. for more info hit up xoptimizedrsx over at buelletinboard or xoptiinside.com Hey is very helpful and knowledgeable |
